The federal government has converted the industrial area to an area mixed with art galleries, performance spaces, boating areas and parks. Abut Street itself continues to the east at the same time as a two-lane street.

Lawrence Centre for the Arts theatre building arrange the south side, with a park all along the north side. The Canada Malting Silos along the waterfront at the western advantage of Harbourfront, are one of the after everything else vestiges of the industrial past of the neighbourhood. Two proposals have been made, a Canadian music museum and a Toronto account museum have both been proposed for the site. Along the south side to the east of the theatre are 19th Century commercial low-rise heritage buildings. To the north of Queen's Quay, all of the built-up lands along the street have been replaced with high-rise condominium towers.
